Meet a Knight in Shining Armor! Talk to Queen Elizabeth and Her Court, Sir Francis Drake, or William Shakespeare! Make a pomander, learn Archery or play a rousing game of Jingling! Listen to tales of the Battle of Agincourt or take part in a Maypole Dance.

When ARFJFU comes to your school, your students will meet and talk to characters from their history books! They can experience first-hand the science, arts and crafts of the Renaissance, take part in games and demonstrations, and learn history and social science in a very exciting, memorable way.

If you are looking to host a Renaissance Day at your school - please consider having ARFJFU coordinate and populate your event. We work with many different groups of professional performers and amateur historians that are available to share their knowledge and expertise on a wide variety of subjects.

Programs are designed as a half-day or whole day; structured classes or free form! Our presentation will be tailored to fit your specific needs whether you only want one subject or a dozen. Remember that if you don't see it here - ask about it! Our listing here would be far too long to include every bit of knowledge that our varied troupe can demonstrate for your students!

Educational offerings include but are not limited to: Crafts classes on pomanders, pouches and mask-making. Seminars on historical games, medicine and herbalism, social issues, costuming, law, etiquette, religious studies, literature and music. Performances include spoonerism fairy tales, singing and playing historical songs, historic dances. Demonstrations: falconry, sword fighting, archery, military maneuvering, blacksmithing. Visits by Queen Elizabeth or Queen Mary, William Shakespeare, Sir Francis Drake and other notables.
